Corner wardrobes
Rational distribution of space in small-sized rooms in some densely populated eastern countries has become a whole science with a fairly serious theoretical basis. For example, in Japan, located on rocky islands of volcanic origin, overcrowding sometimes reaches such a degree that people willingly pay for overnight stays in special capsule-shaped compartments arranged in several tiers in height. The problem of lack of living space did not bypass our ancestors who lived in the cities of the Soviet Union, from whom the current generation inherited Stalin-era and Khrushchev-era buildings with small-sized apartments of the old layout. After purchasing or inheriting such living space, the new owners usually throw out all the accumulated junk and begin major repairs, after which the rooms usually acquire a modern appearance, but do not become larger in area. Next, with a reasonable approach, the stage of planning the placement and selection of the most suitable furniture items in terms of size begins, although such calculations can be done earlier in order to determine the most suitable places for installing heating devices, sockets, switches and lamps, taking into account future furniture, when replacing electrical wiring and exhausted pipelines of life support systems. To compactly fill the space not used for movement, it is better to buy tall items or those specially designed by manufacturers for such purposes. An example of the latter are corner cabinets, adjoining the rear walls of two adjacent walls without gaps.
They can be used to store many useful or simply beautiful things:
crystal glasses and vases, clay jugs and bowls, as well as other decorative and special occasion tableware;
figurines, miniature models of vehicles and other artistic and collectible items;
cups, pennants, medals and other memorable awards;
family photos, favorite books, icons.
If the corner cabinet has opaque doors, then the listed items will not be visible behind them and it will not be suitable as a display case for memorabilia, but it will be useful as a storage for albums, toys and even home clothes.
The most similar analogue in terms of purpose can be considered bookcases, differing only in their rectangular shape, but also capable of serving as a convenient storage for various printed products, as well as a kind of demonstration showcase for displaying the achievements and hobbies of one or more family members. These two items can also be successfully used for furnishing offices, auditoriums of secondary and higher educational institutions, libraries and many other public organizations and government agencies.
Analogues of corner cabinets

Wardrobes in the hallway
Near the entrance door in apartments there is also often no excess free floor space for installing furniture. Due to such painful reasons for many wardrobes in the hallway also have to be purchased with the calculation of the minimum consumption of square meters needed for walking and the maximum use of the under-ceiling space. On their upper shelves you can place rarely used in practice, but sometimes extremely necessary things, and for the most popular ones, allocate a place lower within easy reach of an outstretched arm. In addition to outerwear and shoes, as well as devices and means for caring for them, it is advisable to keep combs, makeup kits, lipsticks, a mirror and similar items for assessing and bringing your own appearance into proper shape.
Dressing rooms
In the hallway of a private home, as well as in the offices of civil servants, doctors, and office staff, simple in design and inexpensive wardrobes. A hanger for a coat, jacket, raincoat or fur coat, shelves for shoes and hats, stands for an umbrella and a cane will allow you to quickly change clothes upon arrival at work and before going outside at the end of your work shift.
If the final selection of all the furniture items necessary for life is made correctly, then it will be possible to achieve comfort even under unfavorable initial conditions.
